ABOUT

RINA CORTEZ

The brand is conceptualized by Fashion Designer RINA CORTEZ in October 2011 through her artistic prowess and impeccable sense of style. It is formerly known as Kwintas Fashion Collection. The Designer's first batch of one-of-a-kind jewelry designs was launched in early 2012, mostly sold to friends and through a gallery. Now, with a stronger perspective in 2016, the brand is renamed after her nickname, RINA, which embodies elegance, royalty, and pure passion. The fashion line carries a variety of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Each piece is gently handcrafted and is made of dashing semi-precious stones and findings. The designs are created to complement and enhance the look of every woman. Rina Cortez's distinct technique continues to evolve and grow in time with designs that have a deeper stance in incorporating new fashion pieces.

Rina Cortez graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts Major in Advertising Arts at the University of Santo Tomas, España, Manila, Philippines. Art has been a part of her life since childhood, whether in drawing, singing, dancing, and literary writing. She reckons that Art encompasses her lifetime journey.

Our designs are 100% handmade by Designer & Team, together with trained artisans in San Fernando City, La Union and affiliate artisans in Metro Manila in the Republic of the Philippines.

Designer's Statement

"When it comes to my designs, I believe there's beauty in oddity. I am fascinated by the combination of dazzling materials, both irregular and of varied shapes. I use bright and vivid colors to represent a happy and positive outlook of life. The dark yet glistening colors in my creations reflect elegance and mystery. My designs are a Reflection of ME. I am open to different perspectives of beauty in art and design. I think there is no limit to what can be a creative output, but rather, there is beauty both in uniformity and irregularity. The odds lead to the search of the artwork's core foundation."
